Our Original Simulator: Rules and Expected Credits

This game guide explains Balanced Tunnel, the original simulator hosted here. It does not establish a game catalogue associated with Chicken Subway. A search query alone is not evidence of a gaming business. The rules below belong to our browser software, which needs neither an account nor a payment.

A Complete Word Is Selected Once

A round contains twelve fair binary choices. Each zero or one has equal probability, independently of the others. The simulator samples the complete hidden word once, then reveals its symbols in order. Later collection decisions do not redraw a symbol or replace the word.

The current quote follows the information actually revealed. A later symbol can change that quote, but the complete selected outcome stays fixed. This separates the random selection from the player’s decision about when to collect.

Substring Means Consecutive Positions

A contiguous substring uses neighbouring positions without skipping any. It is balanced when its number of zero bits equals its number of one bits. The reward is the greatest length among all such substrings in the twelve-symbol word.

The entire word 010101010101 has reward twelve. A word containing both symbols always includes a neighbouring 01 or 10 somewhere, which gives a balanced substring of length two. Only the all-zero and all-one words have reward zero. This rule differs from counting subsequences, matching colours or moving along a commercial crash strip.

The Exact Mean and Collection Formula

Across all equally likely twelve-bit words, the exact mean terminal reward is 8.3447265625. After a prefix is revealed, average the terminal rewards of all equally likely ways to complete it. That exact conditional average is divided by the unconditional mean and multiplied by 0.97 to give the collection quote.

The formula already includes the return factor. Multiplying again by the raw reward or applying another 3% deduction would describe different software. In this simulator, a quote times the captured stake gives the gross credit when collection occurs.

Manual and Automatic Settlement

Manual collection uses the current timestamp and revealed state. A threshold chosen before the round checks the actual first crossing quote. When it crosses, the whole quote is credited before any later zero, even if it exceeds the selected threshold.

The largest possible multiplier is about 1.3948929198361615. A threshold of 1.5, two, three or five cannot be reached. A final positive quote settles automatically; a zero quote ends the round with zero credit. Automatic collection is a settlement setting, not a way to increase the expected return.

Expected Return and Session Outcomes

Every permitted stopping policy has exact unrounded expected gross credit of 97% of stake. That describes the simulator’s probability model rather than the fraction of winning rounds or the final wallet in a short session. Individual outcomes vary.

The longest balanced substring already visible cannot decrease, while the quote can. This is because the quote averages whole-word rewards across the remaining possible completions. Neither remembered runs nor patterns in earlier rounds improve the next word’s probability law. These numbers provide no information about a separate commercial game.

Whole Stakes and Persistent Virtual Coins

Choose a stake of ten, twenty, fifty or one hundred free virtual coins before starting. The whole captured stake belongs to that round. The wallet begins with 1000 coins. Settled wallet balance and fractional-credit carry are kept in browser localStorage, so reload does not reset those saved values.

Refill is manual, requires idle play and a balance below ten, and sets the wallet to 1000 while retaining carry. It never adds 1000. Keep active play open until settlement; an interrupted round is not a promise of credit recovery. Reduced motion is supported. The guide has no deposits, accounts, withdrawals or prizes and applies its own 18+ restriction.

Frequently asked questions

Does this page list a provider’s games?

No commercial catalogue or provider identity has been established. It explains the guide’s own original Balanced Tunnel rules.

Can stopping patterns improve expected gross credit?

Every permitted stopping policy has exact unrounded expected gross credit of 97% of stake. Patterns do not increase it.

Can the demo’s coins be withdrawn?

They have no cash or exchange value. This guide provides no payment or withdrawal facility.
